I had the privilege of interviewing my good friend and celebrity makeup artist Katey Denno. You might not know Katey. But you CERTAINLY know her work.

Katey’s done the makeup for many of Hollywood’s leading ladies like Christy Turlington, Susan Sarandon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Amanda Seyfried, to name a few. Her work has been featured in all of the major magazines, and she regularly gets calls to do makeup for big red carpet events.
Katey is now the face of Burt’s Bees beauty line, and she was most recently was featured on E! Entertainment.
All of that may sound impressive, but what excites me the most is that she did Louise Hay’s makeup. If you don’t know Louise, she’s the founder of Hay House and the author of the well-known book, ‘You Can Heal Your Life.’ This is the woman who brought affirmations to the mainstream.
And of course, this all makes perfect sense for Katey. She’s super down to earth. We actually met in a yoga class (that I was teaching!) many moons ago.
Katey wasn’t always a celebrity makeup artist. In fact, she started out as a social worker from Virginia.
She has quite an interesting story as to how she got into the field and has worked her way to the top of the industry.
It all started with following her heart.
